Tavern by Trevor Transcends its Moniker

In the ever evolving culinary landscape of Toronto, what was once a failed restaurant can easily transform into a major success story. Such was the case of Trevor Kitchen & Bar, a new venture started by Trevor Wilkinson and Mike ‘Yuker’ Yaworski of Trevor Kitchen & Bar. The duo had approached the owner of fledgling Seazons Restaurant and Lounge at Queen and Spadina to take over the address. After a complete overhaul of the dining area and the kitchen, The Tavern by Trevor re-opened its doors to accommodate upwards of 50 guests in what can be considered an informal dining hall featuring booths suitable for four.

The menu, which will easily make any foodie salivate, is divided into four parts: bar foods, salads, sandwiches and mains, and boasts comfort foods as well as the usual pub fair that go above and beyond the usual. And there’s a lot to like: from spicy shrimp and fried pickerel po’boy to steak frites or – for the vegetarians out there – a chili-like bowl of sweet potato and black bean potage.

And as an added bonus, a meal won’t put a dent in your wallet; all menu items are attractively priced. Plus, it will give you an excuse to visit the area a little more often.
