There is no doubt that Toronto has solidified itself as a world-class city. But before the real estate boom and culinary revolution, much incentive was needed to visit an otherwise lackluster city. Originally known asthe “Festival of Festivals,” The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has played an essential role in putting Torontoon the map as a city to watch.Since 1976, it’s grown into one of the most prestigious film festivals in the word, garnering attention for both its celebrity appeal and ability to generate Oscar buzz.
