Fish Tacos! Fish Tacos! Fish Tacos! Fish Tacos!

A few evenings ago I decided to have dinner with my friend Lindsey so we went to La Carnita. This was a cute little joint that got so pack literally two minutes after we got there. (Get there before Five Thirty!)

We started off the evening with the Tortilla Chips and the three dips: Guacamole, Corn Salsa and Serrano & Cashew Bean Dip. The Chips were simply amazing. Each dip had their own texture and taste. The Corn Salsa went well with the other two dips! The Guacamole tasted so fresh, it was like they picked the avocado right off the tree and served it to us! The Cashew Bean Dip had a tiny kick to it but paired well with the Corn Salsa!

We then got the In Cod You Trust Taco, it was a party in our mouths! The taco was filled with a battered fried fish topped with pickled red cabbage, it had an interesting sauce to it and a few seasonings. The pickled red cabbage made it spicy and really carried the flavour to a next level for an amazing experience.

We washed it all down with the spirit tree cider, which was not too sweet or too dry, which I constantly find as a problem with Cider!

We ended the evening with the a cookies and cream popsicle and their signature churros! The churros come with a signature sauce, that is like a thick milk and just reminds you of Cinco de Mayo. The Cookies and Creams popsicle was a trip to your childhood on a stick!

Nalinie and Vanessa bonded at the University they both attended through Student Council. They both love to be adventurous, play sports and built a fast friendship based on their obsession with food and baked goodies. They are constantly joking with each and will expose the other person in the beat of a heart! These two are incredibly fun to hang out with. Grab a meal with them and you will be guaranteed a belly full of laughs! The duo runs a food blog that covers places they visit and their cooking experiments.
