For anyone who’s ever travelled, there’s always that moment after acquiring your luggage when you must decide between public transit and waving down a taxi. Public transit, while being a more affordable choice, is also arguably more challenging, especially when large luggage is involved. In contrast, though taxi services are a lot more convenient, the price for ease is quite high. The good people at Cheapflights have put together a handy chart detailing the priciest cabs around the world.

Of the 27 cities featured, Berlin came out on top with the highest rate of $3.50 per kilometre, while on the adverse end Buenos Aires sits at $0.30 per kilometre. In Canada, Vancouver came out with a large charge of $2.60 per km, while in the States, New York (as expected) was the highest at $2.
