Ford Punches 8-Year Hole in Tory’s Résumé

The latest affair in the ever-classy mayoral race mudslinging took place Wednesday morning. Contender Doug Ford, who grabbed up four points from rival John Tory in the latest Forum research poll, was eager to point out a gaping hole in Tory’s professional history. Tory’s eight ‘lost years’ at an American telecommunications firm – Charter Communications - that filed for bankruptcy in 2009 is something he neglected to bring to the forefront, according to Ford. Tory’s omission is now the subject of a new campaign ad that attempts to accrue more members to Ford Nation.
John Tory was quick with the rebuttal. Shortly after Ford issued the allegations, Tory released a statement outlining that he was brought into Charter Communications to help manage an already-existent crisis, rather than having raised the architecture of the corporation’s untimely demise.
Olivia Chow, who currently holds 22% of support, has yet to step to the plate to discuss these most recent developments.
