Well, it’s happened: hell has frozen over. Or to be a little more specific, there could be a film or television adaptation of Mayor Rob Ford’s life and recent scandals.

Blue Ice Pictures recently bought the rights to Robyn Doolittle’s biography on the wayward mayor, titled Crazy Town: The Rob Ford Story.

Lance Samuel and Daniel Iron will assist in producing the movie. In a press release, Iron stated, “This is a story about the city in which I have lived my entire life and has great political, cultural and civic meaning to me. Robyn Doolittle’s book is a testament to dogged, fearless and exemplary journalism. We are excited to be working with Ms. Doolittle to bring this story to the screen.”

Not much is known about how the company is going to approach the book, but the internet has exploded with ideas on who should play the mayor. It’s moments like this when an actor of Chris Farley’s calibre is needed, but we may simply have to rely on the antics of Jack Black to get us through this one.
