Dive into the Cerulean Waters in the Maldives
By Dylan Bosacki
I admit, up until this point I’ve been rather ignorant to the Maldives, but a quick image search of the place will bombard you with pictures of gorgeous crystal waters, to-die-for beaches and an overall atmosphere that is generally conjured when anyone mentions the word vacation.
The Maldives consists of 26 island nations mostly made up of atolls (ring-shaped coral reefs that encircle a lagoon), which means that regardless of the direction you walk you’ll hit water. The resorts there are your typical beachside resorts, but they offer a plethora of things to do, especially if you’re a fan of water.
For one thing you could easily set up a diving trip to Manta Point to witness manta rays gliding through the waters, or visit the HP Reef to swim around soft coral reefs, turtles and an assortment of fish or just hang out by the lagoon or on the beach to soak up the sun.
The Maldives is the definition of a getaway vacation, where you can lounge, swim, drink and simply watch time go by. It’s the perfect place to get the most out of your vacation.
