It is Complete: Star Wars VII
Monday morning arrived with some very good news, at least to those who’ve been patiently waiting the arrival of lightsabers and midichlorians (ignore that last one). J.J. Abrams, the director of the most recent Star Trek film and who’s been given the reigns for the newest segments in the Star Wars universe, has confirmed that the script for Star Wars Episode VII is finished and ready.
For the most part news related to the film has been tangential. With most of the news being casting and story-line rumours, nothing – aside from the fact that J.J. Abrams will direct – has been set in stone. Recently, a number of actors have reportedly been attached to the project, two of them being Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving, which if it turns out to be true is exciting. However, what their roles will be in the upcoming sci-fi film is anyone’s guess.
As of now all that matters is that the film is a go. The director recently stated to U.K.’s The Telegraph that, “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead.”
