You may have noticed Toronto get a little busier this past week as the Pan Am Games officially began, with Canada ranking at the top of the medal standings so far. With glorious summer weather ahead this week, you will want to take advantage of it, and head outside and enjoy all there is to do in Toronto’s Financial District.

All Week

If you haven’t spent a lunch break, or a pre-commute bite at Front Street Foods at Union Plaza, you’re missing out. Dozens of Toronto’s favourite restaurants are serving the best of their menus everyday.

Open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The market is also open on weekends, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy live outdoor performances with your lunch at the Union Market at noon.

PANAMANIA has brought Nathan Phillips Square to life, as an arts and culture festival celebrating the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. There are live performances taking place all week, ending each day with fireworks. It is all free and open to the public.

Commerce Court is hosting YOUNG World Faces of Pan Am – a world premiere photo exhibit which showcases the diversity of the 41 participating Pan American countries in this collection of unique photographic images.

Created by Canadian-born artistian Robert Young, this commissioned exhibition will be on display in the Commerce Court West Lobby from July 10 - August 23.

The Weekend

This weekend there is something for everyone at Design Exchange. Saturday, July 17, adults can learn about 3D modeling and printing and get to design an object using Fusion software. Sunday, July 18 is DX Family Kids’ Sunday from 12-4PM. The exhibition is free for up to two adults accompanying children under 12!
