There is something to be said for food’s ability to bring people together. Whether foes, friends or strangers, the act of breaking bread – sharing food and experiences with one another – lends itself to conviviality and good-fellowship. It should come as no surprise that Canada, given its size and diversity of people and cultures, should have a thriving culinary scene that holds its own against the best.
When you think of the East Coast, one thing inevitably comes to mind: incredible seafood. Fortunately for the folks over at Raymonds, Newfoundland is the only province that allows the sale of genuine wild game. That means that patrons can enjoy everything from succulent oysters to halibut to savoury caribou, all under one roof, all locally-sourced.
