Top 5 Makeup Products For Summer

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year for make-up trends. As the weather warms up, so do people’s lipstick shades, and I love admiring everyone’s make-up. I consider colorful, bold lips to be a staple; especially for someone who loves to wear neutral-toned clothing. There’s nothing I love more than playing around with color and getting creative. Here are my top five go-to make-up products for the summer months.

1. MAC matte lipstick in “Candy Yum Yum”
I could not live without this lipstick. It’s perfect for a daytime or evening look and works well with any skin tone. It’s the perfect Barbie pink and it’s bold, but easy to pull off.

2. NARS Illuminator in “Copacabana”
This is an amazing product for days you want to wear lightweight make-up and days you want to wear a full face. You only need a small amount for this product to create a beautiful highlight and give your cheekbones a healthy glow.

3. MAC powder blush in “Springsheen”
A beautiful peach-toned blush that gives the cheeks the perfect amount of shimmer. This is a blush that’ll look beautiful on any skin-tone and will give you a warm and healthy glow.

4. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ in “Opal”
I was once one of those people who weren’t sure if these were worth the hype. I’m here to tell you that they’re worth every penny. I’ve tried quite a few highlighters and this is by far one of my favorites. It’s extremely pigmented, but can be built up for those who like a more subtle highlight. I recommend this shade which I consider to be universal for most skin tones, but if you like more of a gold-toned highlight, I recommend this product in the shade “Moonstone.”

5. EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm
I swear by these things. I’ve got one for every purse. They smell amazing, not like your typical lip balm scents along with being super hydrating and moisturizing. If you prefer a matte lip, you can use these while you’re applying your make-up so that your lips are smooth and ready for a flawless lipstick application.
