Manchester United Manager Fired After 10 Months
Taking over the reins of Manchester United from Britain’s greatest manager, Alex Ferguson, sounds like an incredibly daunting task. And it would appear that the current manager of the club, David Moyes, has crumpled under the pressure.
After winning its 20th English championship last year, Manchester United has suddenly faltered with a series of losses in the Premier League. The team has fallen to such great lows that it will miss out on the championship league qualification, something that hasn’t happened in 19 years.
Despite having a six-year deal, Moyes failed to impress the American owners of the club. In a news release, club representatives stated, “Manchester United has announced that David Moyes has left the club. The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”
At the moment it is expected that Louis Van Gaal, who may be leaving his coaching position with the Netherlands, will succeed Moyes after the World Cup in Brazil.
